Official Communication’

Dear Subscriber,

We deeply regret the interruption of service and inconvenience you have recently been experiencing in respect to your subscription.

Unfortunately, there have been a number of factors that have impacted our subscription operation, the main of these being the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdown that has completely disrupted the economy and our entire business.

As you know we rely on the Post Office to deliver the copies to you and under the lockdown regulations this service has had to stop operating and is likely now to be totally disrupted for a while after re-opening.
Our publishing business too, has been seriously impacted by the lockdown which as you know forced us into a position where we had to cancel the production and distribution of the May issues of all our
magazines.

We have however managed to produce a June issue of each magazine and so hopefully you will receive your subscription in due course but this will depend on how quickly the Post Office can get up to speed.
Regrettably in a further development brought about by the underperformance of the magazine media sector over a number of years, now seriously impacted by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the
lockdown regulations, the Caxton group has decided, in principle, to withdraw from magazine publishing.
In line with this decision and certain legal requirements, the business has begun a process of consultation with its staff which will be ongoing for a minimum period of 60 days. Once this process is fully exhausted,
and with the aim of seeing the bulk of the titles survive into the future, the company will engage with parties who have indicated an interest in continuing to publish some or all of the titles.

We understand that this outcome is as disappointing for you as it is for us, but the decision of the company is unavoidable.

We will be doing everything possible to ensure the titles are moved into a new home so you can continue to enjoy them in the future.

However should you prefer to CANCEL your subscription, we will oblige by refunding the full amount standing in credit in your account as of 30 April 2020. Please indicate this by selecting the ‘Cancel Subs’ link
below and completing the Cancellation Form which will be automatically forwarded to us for processing.
You could also choose to leave your subscription credit with us, to hold and transfer to a possible new owner of the title to which you are a subscriber. If this step does not eventuate then we will refund your
credit in full. Please indicate this choice by selecting the ‘RETAIN SUBS’ link below and completing the Form.

Beste intekenaar,
